Why STEMpura?

STEMpura is a non-profit, STEM education company. We’re not the only one but there are a few things that make us different:

  • We are not bound to any one brand - we work with various suppliers that produce suitable equipment

  • We are agile - we bring our experience, we get expert advice but if programmes don’t work we adapt or replace

  • We are nationwide - either from our staff or our network of trusted contractors we offer our services across the UK

  • We are high-value - we keep operating costs to a minimum so most of the donations go toward the delivering the programmes

  • We are inclusive - thanks to our supporters, our experienced staff and community advisors we are inclusive and run programmes that suit a broad spectrum of learners

  • We cover the broad spectrum of ages - our programmes are suitable for young people aged 6 to 22, including apprentices and undergrads. We can also work with post-grads and adult learners

STEMpura’s mission statement

STEMpura’s mission is to inspire young people toward STEM training and careers and to introduce the employability and practical skills that will make them the STEM leaders and entrepreneurs of the future.

Our programmes are based around developing solutions to real world challenges. We aim to make engineering and technology accessible, inclusive, and inspiring for all young people, regardless of their geographical or socio-economic background.

We are reducing barriers to participation by offering low-cost, high-value programmes that are inclusive and accessible.

Our programmes provide participants with the opportunity to stretch their technical and employability skills as far as they wish; and, it equips educators, volunteers and parents with the confidence and resources to support their young people effectively.
