STEMATHLON

We're delighted to bring STEMATHLON to the UK. Joining this international network — an ecosystem of STEM organisations with STEM Association in Greece at its centre — marks an exciting new phase for STEMpura CIO. It means we can offer genuinely innovative, low-cost STEM programmes give students and educators an inclusive curriculum with a real continuum of learning, from Year 1 (P1) right through to Year 9-10 (S2-3)

We need your help to make this as accessible to as many schools as possible or, if you represent a school, to get involved in piloting and adopting these programmes.

These programmes will offer schools and families the chance to get hands-on by using mechanics, digital technology and robotics to learn scientific and engineering principles, gather data, learn coding and understand concepts such as the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence.

The programmes include:

  • low-cost, easy-to-use construction kits and robotics hardware and coding devices

    • the kits are based on Elecfreaks and micro:bit systems but the principles can be learnt using any suitable materials

  • curriculum-linked lesson materials

  • full-year after-school club programmes

  • holiday clubs

  • the STEMATHLON competition

Over 2026-27 we will pilot the programmes before rolling them out across the UK in 2027-28.
