Training 

Most roles do not require training. You can bring your skills from your work, studies or spare time to help a specific activity, or volunteer for a general role focused on supporting the visitor experience. 

There is an induction session for everybody on the day. If there are any additional requirements, we will discuss these with you before matching you to a role. 

What we offer you 

You get to be part of a fantastically fun day and a wider movement sharing the joy of STEAM with people of all ages from every walk of life. Contributing to the event can enhance your CV, gives you the chance to encourage the roboticists of tomorrow. 

But of course, the biggest reward comes from helping put smiles on faces and inspiring people to try new things. 

We will provide beverages and light snacks for volunteers. 

Your commitment 

Most roles are 4 hours (half day) or 8 hours (full day) on Saturday 25 April 2026. Event organiser roles will also require a regular commitment before the event.
