How Schools Can Get Involved with STEMpura

Schools play a vital role in inspiring the next generation of innovators, engineers, scientists and problem-solvers. At STEMpura, we work alongside schools to provide engaging, hands-on STEM experiences that help young people develop the skills, confidence and curiosity they need to thrive in a changing world.

Whether you're looking to enrich your curriculum, support a STEM club, host a competition or provide exciting enrichment opportunities, there are a variety of ways to get involved.

Bringing STEM to Life

We believe the best learning happens when young people can explore, create and experiment for themselves.

Our workshops and programmes are designed to complement classroom learning whilst introducing students to real-world applications of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Through practical activities, students develop skills in:

  • Problem-solving

  • Critical thinking

  • Creativity

  • Communication

  • Teamwork

  • Coding and programming

  • Engineering design

Most importantly, they discover that STEM can be fun, accessible and relevant to their everyday lives.

Workshops and STEM Days

STEMpura offers a range of workshops and STEM enrichment activities that can be delivered in schools or at partner venues.

Activities can be tailored to suit different age groups, curriculum objectives and levels of experience.

Examples include:

  • Robotics and coding workshops

  • Engineering challenges

  • Technology and innovation activities

  • STEM enrichment days

  • Careers and industry-focused sessions

  • Competition preparation workshops

Whether you are planning a dedicated STEM Day or looking for a single workshop, we can work with you to create an experience that meets the needs of your students.

World Robot Olympiad UK

STEMpura is proud to support and deliver opportunities through the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), one of the world's leading robotics competitions.

Schools can participate by:

  • Entering teams into regional competitions

  • Hosting local events

  • Supporting students in competition preparation

  • Developing after-school robotics programmes

WRO provides students with opportunities to apply their learning, work collaboratively and develop confidence through competition and innovation.

For many young people, it can also provide a pathway to national and international events.

Teacher and Coach Support

We recognise that many schools are keen to develop STEM opportunities but may not have specialist robotics or coding expertise in-house.

That's why we also support teachers, educators and volunteers through guidance, training and resources designed to help schools build sustainable STEM programmes.

Our aim is to empower schools to deliver high-quality STEM experiences long after an individual workshop or event has taken place.

Inclusion and Accessibility

STEMpura is committed to ensuring that STEM opportunities are accessible to all young people.

We work to reduce barriers to participation and create welcoming environments where students from all backgrounds can explore STEM with confidence.

We are particularly passionate about supporting underrepresented groups and ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to discover their potential.

Partnerships That Make a Difference

We collaborate with schools, universities, businesses, community organisations and volunteers to create meaningful STEM opportunities.

By working together, we can provide young people with experiences that connect classroom learning to the wider world and inspire future aspirations.

Let's Work Together

Whether you are looking to organise a STEM Day, launch a robotics club, enter a competition or explore new enrichment opportunities, we would love to hear from you.

Every school is different, and we are happy to discuss how STEMpura can support your students, staff and wider community.

Together, we can help prepare young minds for a changing world.
